I found this place on the net. It's 220 miles from my house-not too far for a long weekend!
Here's some pics with explainations
This is on Hwy259 north of Beavers Bend
This is where John F. Kennedy dedicated the Ouchita National Forest. The corner of Hwy259 & 63 . It's 30 miles due west of Mena.
Ouchita means "good hunting"- now you know some injun-speak!
The next few are of the camp site and the creek close to it.

We went again! During Thanksgiving.
We shared the campgrounds with some hunters. They slept all day and were gone all night.
Get one of these! A collapsible oven from Coleman. Great for rolls and pies!
Rowan loves her BB gun!. She has a .38 S&W now ,so I guess she'll be leaving the BB gun behind soon!
